Zebra AP 8163 WLAN Access Point

HIGH PERFORMANCE WI-FI 802.11N

The AP 8163 is a tri-radio 802.11n Mesh Access Point which features rugged construction to meet the harshest outdoor conditions – cold, heat, wind, rain, and hail – while delivering strong, reliable network capacity.

THE AP 8163 TRI-RADIO WING-ENABLED PERFORMANCE WITH RUGGED OUTDOOR CAPABILITIES

Break through your walls and extend your wireless LAN outdoors with the AP 8163. This rugged access point is purpose-built inside and outside to enable the easy extension of robust wireless connectivity to workers in outdoor spaces. On the outside is a housing designed to handle virtually any weather condition. On the inside, three radios give you the power and flexibility to handle today’s bandwidth-heavy applications and secure your data — without purchasing and managing an additional layer of equipment.

  • A RADIO THAT’S AHEAD OF ITS TIME

If radar interference is at all an issue for your network, consider the AP 8163 for its patented ETSI DFS Scan Ahead technology, which enables the unit’s third radio to scan for channels that are free of any radar interference. When the 5 GHz data radio encounters radar interference, the channel can be changed in milliseconds, eliminating any network outage due to radar interference.

  • ENJOY THE FREEDOM OF ENHANCED SECURITY

The AP 8163 is a band-unlocked, tri-radio design which features three spatial streams to transmit and receive with confidence. Ideal for outdoor locations that require reliable accessibility, as well as increased security features, the AP 8163 offers a cost-effective solution. This robust AP enables 24×7 dual band Wireless IPS sending on both the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, as well as concurrent 802.11a/b/h/n client access on the mesh network.

  • TOUGH EXTERIOR, SMART INTERIOR

Protected by an outdoor-rated IP67 die cast aluminum enclosure, the AP 8163 is ready to meet the elements. Rated for temperatures low and high, it can withstand the full spectrum of weather conditions. You can rely on performance under the harshest conditions and environments, along with hardware that’s built to last for the long haul.
